NAMO E-Tablet Scheme

Objective

The main aim of this scheme is to help meritorious students get better aid in their higher education. It will also encourage current aspirants to work harder.

Eligibility Criteria

For being eligible for this scheme, the students should have passed the 12th examination from a recognized institution and board in Gujarat. He or she must be in the first year of college. Even, Students who have taken up polytechnic are also eligible.

Token amount of Tablet and Budget:

An amount of 1000 rupees needs to be submitted for the tablets. The real market price for these tablets is around Rs. 8000-9000. So getting them at a price of 1000 rupees is a sane idea. These tablets will be supplied by two companies. These companies are Acer and Lenovo. A total of 3 Lakh students across the state will be benefitted under this scheme. The initial budget set aside for this scheme is around Rs.200 crore as stated by the chief minister of Gujarat.
