Timeline

  • Up to 2012: Only 233 Colleges and 2 Universities were accredited in NAAC.
  • (As there was less number of institutes accredited by NAAC, AAA was introduced)
  • In 2013: AAA was introduced as one of the initiative of KCG.

  • Employers look for reliable information on the quality of education offered to the prospective recruits.
  • Intra and inter-institutional interactions.
  • Gujarat is the first state and the only state where assessment and accreditation is done by state level agency

Framework

  • 2013-14: Institutes were assessed with AAA toolkit.
  • April 2014: Introduction of AAA-G using modified format of NAAC.
  • 2017: In July, NAAC introduced revised Accreditation Framework. We are modifying AAA Accreditation Framework as per NAAC.

Workshops Conducted Under Quality Assurance

  • Workshop on How to prepare Self Study Report (SSR). The purpose of the workshop was to train the government and grant in aid institutes who are not accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) or Academic and Administrative Assurance (AAA).
  • Workshop on Best Practises in Higher Education for “A” Grade Colleges of NAAC & AAA-G of Gujarat State. The purpose of the workshop is to create awareness & impart knowledge about different types of best practises in higher education. The ultimate aim of the above said activity is to create institutes at par with global standards by inducing the innovative tools of teaching in the system of higher education across state.
  • Workshops on The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) to bring awareness among Universities and colleges of the Gujarat and to take effective implementation of the NIRF guidelines for getting better ranking.
  • Workshop on Effective Role of IQAC for the Enhancement of Quality education in undergraduate colleges of Gujarat under National Quality Renaissance Initiative (NQRI) of NAAC.
